Electric-configured version of the Leisure 28: 155kW motor (peak 205kW), 93kWh battery bank, top speed comfortably above 30 knots with solid range. As with other RAND electric options, this is a build-to-order configuration alongside conventional petrol/diesel engines on the same hull.

What a buyer should know

Who it suits

The Leisure 28 is the only boat in Rand's electric range with a closed bow, and that one structural decision defines it. Where the Spirit 25 and Source 22 are open day boats, this one gives you an enclosed forward space with a single cabin and two berths, which turns a long afternoon into an occasional overnight. It suits a couple or a small family who want the option to stay out, and who value a sociable deck over outright pace. It does not suit anyone chasing the lowest entry price into an electric Rand — that is the Mana 23's job.

What the numbers mean

A 93 kWh bank driving a 155 kW motor (205 kW peak) is the largest pairing Rand lists here, and 31 knots is genuinely quick for a boat of this type. The yard does not publish a range figure, and that absence matters more than the top speed: sustained thirty-knot running will draw down 93 kWh fast, while displacement cruising will stretch it enormously. Ask for a speed-versus-range table before committing.

Two honest caveats: no price is published for the electric configuration, and Rand remains a combustion-first builder — this is an option on a shared hull, not a ground-up electric design.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
